Can I Trust Speedymoney4gold.com, will you disappear with my gold?
Speedycash4gold.com is a UK company (reg number 7932353) we have entered the postal gold market because we experienced at first hand, poor customer service within the postal gold industry. This is a new industry and having experience within the precious metal refining sector decided that we could make a difference and offer the general public a better customer experience. This is enshrined in our Customer Charter We also adhere to the OFT code relating to how postal gold companies operate. If you have experienced poor customer service and you think that the Office of Fair Trading should be involved here is a link where you can make a compliant; http://www.oft.gov.uk/about-the-oft/oft-structure/accountability/complaint or e-mail enquiries@oft.gsi.gov.uk
Are your prices the best in the market?
We would like to think that our prices are very competitive in the postal gold market place. No one should say that they pay the “best prices” as per the OFT code, but we would like to think that we are one of the most competitive. We don’t use any underhand tactics such as under weighing your gold, please see our Customer Charter for more information and our pledge to you as a customer.

Are my kitchen scales good enough to weigh the gold?
In a word no, unless to have an expensive set of digital scales, and even these don’t weigh in many cases to the required accuracy. With the price of gold so high, it is important to get an accurate figure. Don’t worry we have legally calibrated scales and you can rely on our figures. Please see our Customer Charter to back up these claims
Do you buy silver, platinum or white gold?
We don’t buy silver in any quantities. Nor do we buy platinum. We only buy gold either yellow or white in colour.

This is a good question, and it will depend on a number of factors. Please remember that all jewellers charge a 300%-500% mark up on what they sell to the general public. Firstly there is a difference between “retail price” and “scrap value price”. An intricate 12 carat gold ring with a 1/2 Karat Princess cut diamond could cost £1000 in a jewellers shop, but it’s 12 carat gold and weighs only 5 grams. It’s scrap value will be far less than the retail price. If the item is a curb gold chain made from 18carat gold and weighing 30 grams, then you are more likely to get a scrap price close to what you paid for it. If you have any doubts please send us your gold items, and we can give you the best quote possible. You are under no obligation, and we will send your gold items back if you are not happy with our quote. We always operation in accordance with our Customer Charter.
